Creating Exponential Results

Creating Exponential Results:

Have you ever desired to grow an area of your life, career, business or organization but it seemed too big to start? Is it possible you attempted but got distracted? In this blog, we will explore one distinct leadership principle that has been a game changer for many! What is that secret sauce, so to speak, “Consistency!” It is harnessing the power of consistency!

Surround yourself with the dreamers, the doers, the believers, and thinkers; but most of all surround yourself with those who see greatness within you even when you don’t see it yourself.”  ~Simone Biles (Gymnast)

Fixed Time-Fixed Place:

Before I share with you a few illustrations of consistency, allow me to share with you a leadership principle to help carry your goals to the finish line. Applied habits with consistency turn a wish or dream into a committed result!  Here it is: “Fixed Time-Fixed Place” (F.T.F.P.) Consider how your goals, vision and purpose will increase with results with this leadership principle. Consistency unlocks freedom to explore your ultimate potential.

You can start right where you stand and apply the habit of going the extra mile by rendering more service and better service than you are now being paid for.”  ~Napoleon Hill

Four Illustrations:

First, Dental Hygiene. It’s recommended by dentists to visit them every six months. As important as that is, that alone does not create great dental health. Brushing your teeth two minutes, two to three times a day, along with flossing creates great dental hygiene. The key to great dental health is about five minutes every day. Think for a moment what goal, if there was a Fixed Time-Fixed Place established for a daily action step, could create a measurable result in a specific time frame.

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.”  ~Jim Ryun

Second, Wellness and Fitness. You could run to the gym and workout for eight hours, go home and look in the mirror, and you may see lots of sweat and feel very tired, but it’s highly unlikely you’re going to see life transforming results. However, say you consistently workout in your home or gym for twenty minutes daily for one year. Then stand in front of the mirror and you will most likely see measurable results. In addition, you’ll see many peripheral wellness benefits from your daily consistency.

Good habits are worth being fanatical about.”  ~John Irving

Third, Reading! The average person reads about twelve books a year. But, if an average reader would read thirty minutes consistently everyday, that person would read over thirty books a year. Here is a thought, what field of growth would you like to expand or develop in? What if you had two areas, finances and leadership? What if you read fifteen minutes on one topic in the morning and fifteen minutes in the evening on another topic. In one year you would have read fifteen books on two major topics. How do you think the power of consistency applied through reading would exponentially expand that area of life?

Your net worth to the world is usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are subtracted from your good ones.”  ~Benjamin Franklin

Fourth, Growing Finances. What if financially you budgeted a percentage of your profit for giving, investing and savings each week, month or year? Taking this principle, apply it in your business and your personal finances. What would be the results in ten, twenty, thirty years? This financial percentage principle of giving, investing and saving may take adjustments and sacrifices, but what is possible exponentially? Take a calculator out and do the math! Would those saving results position you in a new financial standing? How about your giving, what impact could you have? Investing now with compounding results?

The compounding effect is the principle of reaping huge rewards from a series of small, smart choices.” ~Darren Hardy

What Keeps Many From Consistency?

Well, many have good intentions without steadfast commitment. What if you begin with one new habit with consistency? Take an action today, pick a new habit that will move your life or business forward. Ok, let’s use the habit of reading fifteen minutes in the morning and, if you’re ready, fifteen minutes in the evening.

“A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them.”  ~Liberty Bailey

Steps To Committed Consistency:

1. Take action today!

2. Share with your coach, small group of people or colleagues an area you desire to grow?

3. What habits would carry that growth opportunity?

4. Give Account! Text “DONE” after you completed your daily habit/action.

5. Cheerleading! Then ask them to touch base with you if you did not text done!

6. Chart your growth! You can adjust what you can measure!

7. Journal your discoveries of what works and does not work.

“A true measure of your worth includes all the benefits others have gained from your success.”  ~Cullen H.

“I measure success by how many people love me. And the best way to be loved is to be lovable.”  ~Warren Buffett

Applied Consistency:

The focused power of applied consistency develops new mental, emotional, intellectual and physical habit patterns. Almost like muscle memory in athletics! Your consistently applied renewing mindsets will even influence you at a cellular level. In my own personal life, I purpose to walk 10,000 steps a day. This has drastically influenced my health and wellness. Like reading, I purpose to apply consistency in the morning, afternoon and evening.

Moving is Medicine:

If you desire more energy, move your body. About six years ago, I spoke with a local neurologist while visiting my late father. The doctor said something that touched my heart at the core! She said, “Moving is medicine!” Moving forward is a powerful principle! What if you got a physical moving plan that was fun, and you began with 2,500 steps in the AM and 2,500 steps in the PM? Again, this is only an illustration to begin shifting your results from apathy to extraordinary! They say, the difference between amateur golfer to professional golfer is three to four strokes! The Indy 500 winner is seconds faster than the next car.

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you do have to start to be great.” ~ Zig Ziglar

What two to three new habits could you consistently apply in your business and personal life? What is the growth potential exponentially from completing your goals? If you’re a sales person, what would going the extra mile daily look like? What new financial consistency would grow your results? Again, a marathon is finished one mile at a time! A vacation trip is driven one mile at a time. Your business and life is waiting!

Create your way to a better day, you got what it takes!
