Road Signs

I was traveling back last week from coaching clients…

Reflecting on our time together, while driving through rush-hour traffic, noticing many new road signs and traffic patterns. I began pondering on the traffic signs and the parallels of building a thriving business and life. Then a random thought occurred of my dad teaching me to drive stick shift in his El Camino.

Do you remember your first vehicle?

Do you remember the skills of learning to drive, navigate, and watch all the other drivers simultaneously? Oh my!

There are a lot of things to consider when you drive.

>> To start…

->> Importance of Our GPS?

  • Plans

  • Purpose

  • Preparations

->> Stay in Your Lane

  • Facts

  • Focus

  • Fortify

->> Do Not Enter

  • Criticize

  • Condemn

  • Complaining

->> Fog Area Ahead

  • Assess

  • Allowance

  • Awareness

->> Road Closed - Detour

  • Pivot

  • Patience

  • Perspective

->> Lane Merges

  • Culture

  • Cultivate

  • Collaborate

What navigation system are you utilizing for life and business?

What mile marker are you at on the way to your destination?

->> Perspective Traveling

  • The driver

  • The passenger

  • The other vehicle

->> Importance of Rest Stops

  • Reset

  • Refresh

  • Recalibrate

Many plan to travel for summer vacations.

->> Trip Planning - Life-Business

    1.    Where are you going?

    2.    What are you building?

    3.    Who are you becoming?

    4.    Who are you taking with you?

    5.    How do you view yourself?

    6.    What deeply fuels your why?

Through seasons of transition and scaling growth, what navigation systems have worked in the past? What are the new road signs you're seeing to steer you onto your expressway? Consider connecting all the dots from past successes and wins and notice the picture it draws! When renovating a building, it may get messy first before the rebirth and reframe!

“You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.” ~ Dr. Seuss

What’s possible following the design plans and synergy from collective collaboration? Remember, traffic jambs and detours are not your identity but opportunities! You're extraordinary! You got what it takes!

In Gratitude,

Ed Garner
